Classic literature has held onto its popularity throughout the years because of the morals and stories that remain inspirational years after its publication. Classic music contains the same characteristics as classic literature: its lyrics continue to maintain a special place for people years after the album is recorded. A one-hit wonder can produce a classic, but for most individuals, classic songs are produced by iconic bands that have accomplished international fame and sold millions of records. Regardless of the classifications as to what makes a song a classic, music will continue to attract criticism, inspire movements and alter a person's thoughts.

Check out this news report on 16-year-old Kasey Landrum, a gay teen from Tennessee who was suspended from Lexington High School for wearing eye make-up, even though other punk rock kids do the same with consequence (above)!

Thankfully, after the story was caught wind of by The Tennessee Equality Project and LGBTQNation, Kasey's suspension was reversed and a new school policy, allowing all students to wear make-up, was put into place!

As it should have been!

Unless there was a strict dress code in place, which there clearly wasn't, these kids need the ability to express themselves and who they are, REGARDLESS of sexual preference!

What's really shocking is that without all the globbed on makeup and spray tan, you can actually start to see the 17-year-old hiding behind the facade. Yes, she's most definitely had work done, but the youth is still there. In the eyes, especially.

She must surrender by November 9th and begin serving 30 days in county jail without eligibility for house arrest or early release!

Lohan admitted to violating her probation on Wednesday and waived her right to a formal hearing.

Judge Sautner found her in violation of failing to obey the orders of the court and sentenced her to jail time!

Lindsay has over 300 days hanging over head from previous cases and COULD end up serving that much time, if she does not follow all of the court's instructions!!!

"These are very strict rules," the judge said. "You don't have to accept them."

But our LiLo did!

Sautner said she was "putting the keys to the jail in the defendent's hands".

Lindsay's probation will be reinstated after her 30 day jail sentence. She must report to the probation department the next business day after her release.

After Lohan is released, she will have to do A LOT of community service!

The Good Shepard's Center for Homeless women in downtown Los Angeles is refusing to take her back, though.

Mercifully, he LA morgue will agree to let Lindsay to community service there.

It should be noted that Lindsay's probation officer doesn't want her anymore. A new probation officer has been assigned.

Lohan must return to the court on December 14th.

She must then perform 12 days of community service, attend 4 pyscho therapy session of 45 minutes and have the 4 be within a month.

When she does do her community service at the morgue, they "don't want you Tweeting", the judge told Lohan.

Upon completion of the court's first orders, she must then complete a minimum of 29 more days at the morgue and a minimum of 10 more therapy sessions.

If Lindsay does ALL of the above, the rest of her prison sentence of 270 days will be staid and her probation will be terminated.

There is no leaving the country.

If there are any violations of probation and Lindsay does not follow the judge's instructions to the letter, the probation officer will notify Judge Sautner, who will revoke probation and put a warrant out for Lindsay's arrest.

The judge says Lohan "needs structure."

And this sure is giving it to her!

"If you do this all by March 29th, you just go about your business and obey all laws and all this ends," the judge told Lindsay.

You think Lohan will be able to complete all the required community service and therapy?????

Now, we ALL know that this very thing has happened to us before … our moms have very likely scolded us in public in this way, but in our instances … only a small (if any) number of people bore witness to our embarrassment. Poor Kingston had to endure paparazzi photogs who were there to capture the moment forever. HMMM. I wonder what the chances are that Kingston will learn his lesson and behave? My guess is … slim to none ;)

Last night David and I were invited to Jane’s House in Hollywood to help our good friend Johnny Lopez celebrate his 40th birthday! Johnny went all out for the affair with a live band AND a DJ, delicious food and signature drinks. Johnny‘s mom and sister flew in for the party and we all had the BEST time ever! I snapped some photos from last night’s fun … check ‘em out below.

I know, it’s INSANE … Johnny does not look 40 … homie looks 20 … and acts 15 ;) It was so nice to celebrate with him and his family/friends. We were able to run into a bunch of folks who we hadn’t seen in ages. Johnny knows how to throw a great party … we had a blast. Altho Johnny’s actual birthday was last week, please join me in sending all our Birthday Lurve to him today :D

Well, if this is what it takes to realize that there's a real possibility she could end up like this - a cold, dead corpse, not some romanticized, iconic Marilyn Monroe fantasy - if she doesn't get out of denial and clean up her act, then so be it!

President Barack Obama has confirmed today that after nine years of American troops stationed overseas in Iraq, the war that began in the spring of 2003 will be over by January 1st, and that most U.S. troops will be "home for the holidays!"

He says in a statement:

"After nearly nine years, America's war in Iraq will be over. The coming months will be another season of homecomings. Across America, our servicemen and women will be reunited with their families ... This December will be a time to reflect on all that we've been through in this war. "[He and Iraq prime minister Nouri al-Maliki are in] full agreement about how to move forward. [Our troops will exit Iraw] with their heads held high, proud of their success, and knowing that the American people stand united in our support for our troops. With our diplomats and civilian advisers in the lead, we will help Iraqis strengthen institutions that are just, representative, and accountable. We'll build new ties of trade and of commerce, culture and education that unleash the potential of the Iraqi people. We'll partner with an Iraq that contributes to regional security and peace, just as we insist that other nations respect Iraq's sovereignty. I would note that the end of war in Iraq reflects a larger transition. The tide of war is receding."
